Mind Moves.
Performance Follows.
Mental performance coaching for athletes, military and veterans, teams, and coaches. Bay Area and nationwide.
Preventative by design. I teach athletes to respond, not react.
Pressure exposes gaps.
You wouldn’t leave your physical or tactical preparation to chance. So why leave your mindset to chance?
A big moment doesn’t create most problems — it reveals the ones already there. Gaps in preparation, focus, habits, recovery, confidence, or identity. When the pressure comes, those gaps decide what happens next.
Mind Moves provides tailored tools to close them.
If you don’t define success for yourself, the scoreboard will.
Someone else will. The outcome will. Most athletes are trained to chase results. Very few are taught how to define what success actually means to them, clarify what they value, and decide who they want to become. That’s where we start — because performance should be something you bring your identity to, not something you take your identity from.
Mission Driven
Every athlete, coach, and parent who works with Mind Moves builds an MVP.
Who do I want to become?
Your values, your long-term goals, and your goals across every part of life — sport, family, school, work, health, character. This is where identity outside the sport gets built.
How do I get there?
The calendar. The honest assessment of where you need to get better. The habits moving you forward, and the ones quietly costing you.
How do I stay on track?
The standards you hold when motivation is gone. The non-negotiables that survive a bad week, a bad game, or a bad month.
Together, that’s your definition of success.

Experience, not theory
Andrew Amezquita is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, U.S. Air Force veteran, and former youth and collegiate athlete. He holds a BA in Child Psychology and an MSW from Cal State East Bay, has completed graduate coursework in applied sport psychology, and is completing the mentored experience required for the CMPC credential through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.

Mental performance coaching, not therapy
Mind Moves Performance provides mental performance coaching and education. It is not clinical mental health treatment or psychotherapy. That distinction matters — and so does this one: because Andrew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, he can recognize when something falls outside performance coaching and make an informed referral or recommendation. Most performance coaches can’t.
Make your best your baseline.
Your best shouldn’t be the day everything clicks — it should be the standard you can repeat. Working with athletes, military and veterans, teams, coaches, and parents in the Bay Area and nationwide.
